Dissertation: | „Adaptive Concrete Structures with Fuzzy-Logic Controlled External Prestressing“ |
|
♦ |
Supervisor: |
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Martina Schnellenbach-Held University of Duisburg-Essen, Institute of Concrete Structures, since April 2004 |
|
The objective of this thesis is to increase the lifespan of prestressed concrete structures, particularly bridges, by adapting the structure to various loading conditions. For this purpose, a system of sensors and actuators, a database of mathematical models as well as a control scheme that is based on fuzzy logic and supported by case-based reasoning has been implemented. |
